Why you should never build your site entirely in Flash.

There's many reasons to stay away from entirely Flash based web design. Here's a debate on SEO. Read Even though Google is attempting to make Flash indexing more friendly, HTML is still more clean, affordable, efficient, search and app friendly. You can generate similar stylish effects with javascript keeping Flash out of your online experience.

We at Rewebbed believe that Flash does have it's purposes. Presentation and interactive marketing media, creative animations, and applications are all good uses for Flash. However when it comes to your website, avoid Flash as much as possible.

You decide.

Uhm... Google and Adobe did team up in 2008 if my memory is still working properly and they came up with some interesting solutions. Here is what I think....never say never. Have you seen how successful the "entirely flash build " sites are at The FWA? Yes, of course they have a much broader audience and marketing budget and what not.

I partially agree with you though..... you make some nice points on how Flash "does" make it more "difficult" when it comes to SEO. But don't limit yourself stating that you should never build sites in flash. You can perfectly work around those barriers of SEO with flash. At the very end it depends on the audience and I guess budget if you are to take your time to build a flash site and make it SEO friendly.

My 2 cents on this subject.

I knew this but did it anyway. And I don't have any good reasons for why I did it. So that sucks.

Nice. Hoping for a big, heated flash debate.
