If you've spent any amount of time in the industry you've most likely been asked this common question:
What is graphic design? So it came as no surprise to me when I discovered that it is the number one question people type into search engines containing the keyword "graphic design".
Skimming through the latest article feeds in
feedly this morning, I came across
How To Generate Content Ideas For Your Site an article from
Small Business Trends. Standing on the platform of “Content is King”—one of the most overused phrases in the marketing world—but also very true, the article aims at providing useful tools and ideas for generating
relevant content for your website. One of the tools presented was this nifty little
Keyword Questions search by
Wordtracker Labs. Here's how it works:
"You enter in a term related to your site and Wordtracker will give you a list of questions that people are already asking about it. They’ll also tell you how many times that question has been asked to help you prioritize which pages to focus on first. Wordtracker lets you hone in on real questions that you can build content around to help answer a searcher’s concerns and to create content people will want to link to."
So this is pretty cool (and useful) if you're a content developer but it's also really interesting to find out what questions people have about our industry. Type "graphic design" into Keyword Questions and
see what you get.
