Illustrator/Animator

I'm looking for an illustrator/animator to do renderings of cat characters who are sophisticated and slightly edgy for a children's book/animation project to help promote several lines of girls shoes. The characters vary from a saxophone player to a writer/poet/philosopher/rapper. The text is geared to adults but also to older kids. Nothing cutesy or adolescent - yet a look that would draw the interest of both kids and adults.
